The price
A custom build is $250. That is half of the $500 standard rate and it is tied to the launch roster; when the roster fills, the price goes back to standard for new work. There is one price — there is no cheaper tier and no more expensive tier. A price already agreed in writing does not change afterwards.
How you pay
Two ways, and they are the only two.
- $250 once. Paid up front, and nothing is owed after that.
- $50 a month for six months. Nothing down and nothing due on the day you start. The first payment is taken about a month after the site goes live, and the plan ends automatically after the sixth payment — six payments, $300 in total, and then it stops on its own. You may settle the remaining balance early at any time, and you can cancel the plan by telling me, which stops the charges from that point on.
The six-month plan is a payment schedule for the build, not a service you are subscribing to: it buys nothing beyond the site itself, and no charge continues past the sixth payment. Apart from that plan there is no subscription, no retainer, and no invoice after launch. Hosting for a site this size is free on the platforms used, and your domain is paid by you directly to a registrar, in your own name, at roughly $15 a year. I do not take a cut of either.
Changing your mind, and getting your money back
If you paid the $250 up front and you change your mind before I have sent you the first draft, ask and I refund it in full, no argument. Once the first draft has been delivered the money has been earned and is not refundable — the work exists at that point.
On the six-month plan, cancelling before the first draft costs you nothing, because nothing has been charged yet. If you cancel after the first draft, the payments already taken are not refunded and the remaining ones stop.
If I am the one who cannot finish — for any reason — you get every dollar back in full, any remaining plan payments are cancelled, and you keep whatever has been built so far.
What you get
- A site designed and written from scratch for your business. Not a template.
- Two full rounds of revisions before launch. Small changes after that are usually free because they take ten minutes; anything larger is quoted before I touch it.
- A live first draft within about 48 hours of you taking a seat, and a finished site in roughly two weeks. Those are honest estimates, not guarantees — the usual cause of a delay is waiting on photos, copy or a login from your side.
What you own
Once the site is launched and paid for — on the plan, that means the site is yours from launch day while the remaining payments run — it is yours outright: the design, the code, the copy and the files. It lives on your domain, in your name, on an account you control. You can move it, change it, or hire someone else to work on it, and you do not need my permission for any of that.
You keep ownership of anything you give me — your logo, photos, text and brand. By supplying them you confirm you have the right to use them. Unless you ask me not to, I may show the finished site as an example of my work.
What I need from you
Content, photos, and answers when I ask for them. If a project goes quiet on your side for 60 days, I will treat it as paused and your seat goes back on the roster; the work already done stays yours to pick up whenever you come back.
The limits
I build websites. I do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, phone calls or revenue, and anyone who does is guessing. If something goes wrong, what I can be responsible for is capped at the amount you have actually paid me.
